For example, electric models would need extra battery packs that would also need a suitable battery charger that is needed in order to power up the car as most hobby-grade model cars would require 8 AA size batteries to make it run. 

 

There are also those types of models that are already ready to be run once purchased and these can come at a cheap price as well. But if you want better performance for your RC car, prepare to use some cash on it.
